Medicare GLP-1 Bridge
Does prediabetes qualify me for the GLP-1 Bridge?
Yes — prediabetes is a qualifying condition. With a BMI of 27 or higher plus prediabetes, you can meet the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge criteria for the $50 copay, as long as you have Part D and no condition already covered under regular Part D.

The Bridge accepts a BMI of 27–29.9 when paired with a specific condition, and prediabetes is on that list — along with a past heart attack or stroke and symptomatic peripheral artery disease. At a BMI of 30 or higher, kidney, heart-failure, and blood-pressure conditions also qualify; at 35 or higher, no additional condition is needed.
Note that prediabetes is different from type 2 diabetes. If you have type 2 diabetes, a GLP-1 may already be covered under your regular Part D plan, separate from the Bridge.

Is prediabetes the same as diabetes for this program?
No. Prediabetes is a qualifying condition for the Bridge; type 2 diabetes routes you to regular Part D coverage instead.
